RENEE PITTS
Renée Pitts, MSEd, LPCC-S, CDCA has earned a Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Youngstown State University. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a certified Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant. Renée is a Certified EMDR Therapist and an Approved Consultant through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). She has worked in mental health treatment providing therapy as a residential and outpatient counselor. Her distinctive background includes a specialized focus of study in exercise and the nutritional effects on mental health and overall wellness, including continued studies in Tibetan medicine and herbology. She has also studied various meditation techniques for over 25 years under several teachers in the United States, India, Nepal and Tibet. With a strong understanding of western science, combined with her practice in mind/body experiences, meditative techniques, and the study of nutrition and integrative mental health, Renée blends these as modalities into her counseling practice. She is also able to share a practical understanding of applying mind, body and spirit to bring about a greater level of wellness and health into the lives of her clients. Renée provides instruction at a monthly meditation group she holds at Blue Star Family Counseling Services, Inc. and she assists in EMDR trainings. She also has taught at Youngstown State University and other sites around the local area on meditation and mindfulness. The focus of her clinical work utilizes EMDR Therapy, mindfulness and meditation, nutrition and integrative medicine and she specializes in trauma, substance abuse and addiction, spirituality and religious values, and wellness with adults and adolescents.

Dru Perren is a Licensed Supervising Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S), Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA),Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst, Certified EMDR Therapist and Approved Consultant. She graduated from Ursuline College in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Science, and Youngstown State University in 2012 with a Master’s of Science in Education with emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Dru specializes in working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum and their families. Dru has been working with individuals with Autism since 2009 and has researched and presented on the topic at the local, state, and national level. Dru blends behavior analytic strategies along with the EMDR protocol to help each client improve their level of functioning.
Dru has experience working with children, adolescence and adults that suffer from anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, stress management, or have experienced trauma. Dru also has experience working with members of the military, veterans, law enforcement, and first responders. Dru is a member of her local county’s Critical Incident Stress Management Response Team, where she can assist in debriefing professionals that have been subjected to a potentially traumatic event within the community.

Beth Shapiro
Beth Shapiro, PhD, MSSA, LISW-S practices as a Clinical Social Worker and has her PhD in clinical psychology. She is an EMDR Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant. Beth also holds certificates in End-of-Life Care from Smith College, and Compassionate Bereavement Care from the MISS Foundation. She has a private practice located in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Beth works with individuals (primarily adults), couples, and families. Her specialties include trauma and trauma-informed care, cPTSD/PTSD, grief/loss, issues impacting the lives of people in the LGBTQ+ community, family systems/relationship dynamics, and aging. Beth has extensive experience working within healthcare, mental health, and hospice environments, and has a strong understanding of medical and ethical issues that can be encountered in these settings. Beth also has a special interest in the therapeutic nature of the human-animal bond. In addition to EMDR case consultation, Beth also provides Training Supervision for LSWs working toward independent licensure, and peer supervision. She serves as adjunct faculty at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University, teaching direct practice topics. Her humanistic and strengths-based perspective fits well with her clinical work, and her teaching on the local and national levels about trauma/trauma-informed care, cPTSD, ethical issues, and LGBTQ+-informed practice.

Rick Marsili
Rick Marsili, M.Div., MS, LPC, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. His private practice, Connections Counseling of Western Pennsylvania, LLC specializes in treating infants, children, teens, adults, couples, and families impacted by traumatic stress with the use of EMDR. The practice is known for offering a compassionate space that promotes post traumatic growth.
Rick has been in the counseling profession for over 30 years working with people of all ages. He is an EMDR Certified Therapist, Consultant, and Trainer.
Rick specializes in treating complex trauma and dissociation. Ego states work, creative arts, acupressure, mindfulness, sand tray work, somatic practices, spirituality, and social justice counseling are integrated into EMDR processes. Rick is also a Certified Grief Therapist.
Rick has worked in diverse communities throughout the United States. As a social justice counselor, he is involved in grassroots efforts within the LGBTQIA+ Community. He has experience in doing EMDR in outpatient mental health and addictions programs and correctional facilities. He has also worked in the Child Welfare field.
Eryn Skye Phelps
Eryn is a licensed mental health counselor in the State of Washington, where she has a private practice and works with high-risk adventure athletes. She is an Internal Family Systems therapist, certified in EMDR, and is an Approved Consultant with EMDRIA. She uses these modalities to help individuals recognize their inherent strength and value and release burdensome memories and beliefs. Eryn has lived and worked across the country from Alaska to New England at residential treatment centers, wilderness therapy programs, summer camps, public and private schools, and community health centers. She earned a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, and a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Montana. She spends much of her time outside with her dog Anchor, who helps keep her grounded. While Anchor is not a certified therapy dog, he is pretty good at listening.

Nikki Gordon
Nikki is an experienced EMDR trauma therapist, specializing throughout her career in working with victims and survivors of interpersonal violence, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Her approach to therapy is to work collaboratively with clients, empowering them to decide for themselves what the healing process looks like. With a keen awareness that there is no hierarchy of pain, Nikki maintains a trauma focused space, and approaches each client with dignity and respect. Her experience includes collaborating with legal and medical professionals to assist victims in all aspects of their trauma. Nikki holds a masters degree in community psychology and has a post-masters certificate in trauma informed care through UW-Milwaukee. She is also an EMDRIA certified therapist, and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional through the International Association of Trauma Professionals.

Shannon Limerick-Gnas
Shannon Limerick- Gnas is a Licensed Psychologist in PA. She is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. She works with all ages . Her specialties are PTSD, complex trauma, dissociation, abuse survivors, depression, anxiety, OCD, grief and loss. She utilizes somatic focus , targeted visualization , and creative arts to enhance EMDR reprocessing. Her experience includes inpatient psychiatric, partial hospital, community mental health, and private practice. She has worked in the mental health field for over 30 years and considers herself primarily an EMDR therapist. Currently her private practice is limited to telehealth. Group and individual consultation are available.

Ben zimmer
Ben Zimmer is an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in the state of Ohio. Ben is a relational EMDR therapist who believes therapy is all about connection, safety, and meeting the client where they are. Ben was trained by the Parnell Institute and is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant. Ben founded Larchmere Center for Well-being (LCW) after moving back home to Cleveland in 2017. After almost a decade in Santa Barbara, CA, Ben decided to take his non-profit and clinical experience back to the community that raised him.
Ben values relationships, delicious food, dogs, and creating safe communities for folks of all backgrounds and origins. After spending much of his career training educators and young people in Social & Emotional Learning, he finds joy in seeing spaces transform with the power of empathy, compassion, and the healing of trauma. MORGAN
Abigail Morgan obtained her Bachelor of Social Work from Radford University and her Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She completed her basic training for EMDR in 2014 and
became EMDRIA certified in 2019.
Abby is also an adjunct faculty member at Virginia Wesleyan University in the Social Work Department. In 2019, she opened Sea Level Counseling and Wellness in Norfolk, VA. This is a group practice with a collaborative-based treatment approach that includes trauma-informed Mental Health Therapists, a Nurse Practitioner, and a Registered Dietitian. Abby uses EMDR and mindfulness-based techniques to assist her clients in healing their trauma.
Abby’s areas of specialty are working with PTSD, women’s issues, attachment struggles connected to intimate relationship difficulties; codependency, postpartum depression and anxiety, and phase of life transitions that are impacted by past trauma. Abby is an LGBTQ-ally and is connected with the Headstrong Program assisting active duty service members and veterans with trauma therapy. EMDR therapy has been transformative to Abby’s practice.
Her future goals of being an EMDRIA-certified Consultant are to assist area clinicians meet their own EMDR goals and to broaden the education and usage of EMDR in therapy settings.
